A George III silver vinaigrette, the plain oblong form with canted corners and monogrammed lid opening to the silver-gilt interior, the reeded and pierced grille with scroll border and central oval motif in relief. Hallmarked David Jenkins, Birmingham 1812. Length measuring 3 cm, weight 10.9 grams.

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Gilding appears bright. Heavy black residue/tarnishing to interior base. Hallmarks assumed Birmingham, town mark difficult to decipher.
