Lot Description
A Victorian silver vinaigrette of oblong form with engine turned decoration, scroll edge, concave edge and opening to reveal a silver-gilt interior with Egyptianesque pierced grille. Hallmarked Frederick Marson, Birmingham 1883. Length measuring 3.4 cm, weight 13.9 grams.

Condition Report
The vinaigrette displays general scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. A few minor dents around the body. The grille appears a little dented and twisted. The lid also catching on the grille when opening and closing. Shield shaped cartouche is vacant. Lid easily opens a little. Gilding discoloured. The hallmarks are a little worn but legible.
