A Victorian silver vinaigrette, the rectangular form with scroll edge, acanthus scroll decoration dividing various panels of engine turned decoration and central engraved cartouche, the hinged lid opening to the silver-gilt interior with festoon pierced grille. Hallmarked Nathaniel Mills, Birmingham 1845. Length measuring 3.7 cm, weight 17.7 grams.

Condition Report
The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use.
The hinge appears a little loose and the lid does not hold firmly closed. Minor dints. Wear and loss of definition and detail to the decoration. Suspension ring is heavily worn. The hallmarks are clear and legible.
