A George IV silver vinaigrette, the oblong form with foliate decoration, vacant cartouche and reeded edge opening to the silver-gilt interior with similarly decorated pierced grille. Hallmarked Thomas & William Simpson, Birmingham 1820. Length measuring 2.7 cm, weight 10.5 grams.

Condition Report
The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. The hinge allows a little sideways movement. Some rubbing with loss of definition to the decoration. A little pitting visible to the solder-work. Gilding worn in some parts. Hallmarks a little distorted but easily legible.
