Lot Description

A Victorian silver combination memorial vinaigrette, the scalloped oval form, foliate scroll engraving and initial cartouche, the dual hinges opening to a silver-gilt interior with floral pierced grille and further memorial compartment to the lid containing a lock of hair. Hallmarked Birmingham 1846. Length measuring 4 cm, weight 31 grams.

Minor dints. Hinge pin is a little dislodged. Memorial panel hinge allows sideways movement. Discolouration to gilding. Hallmarks a little distorted but clearly legible.
