A Victorian silver vesta case, the oblong body with foliate scroll engraving and central circular initialled cartouche with scalloped surround. Hallmarked John Edward Wilmot, Birmingham 1899. Height measuring 4.5 cm, weight 23 grams.

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks, wear and tarnishing commensurate with the age and use. Rubbing with some loss of definition to the decoration. The body a little concave. Hallmarks are clear and legible.
