Lot Description

A Victorian silver christening mug, the cylindrical form partly fluted and bearing a personal initial engraving and inscription. Hallmarked Charles Edwards,  London 1885, retailed by W. Angus, Liverpool. Height measuring 3 1/2 inches (9 cm), weight 4.3 ozt (134 grams).

The lot displays general surface scratches, marks and wear commensurate with the age and use. Heavy tarnishing visible and would benefit from a clean and polish. A little rubbing and loss of definition. The hallmarks are clear and legible. Lower join of the handle has imprinted to the interior.
