Lot Description
A mid 19th century carved coral cherub pendant. The coral carved to depict a cherub with a lyre and panpipes, to the carved coral scrolling surmount, may be worn as a brooch. Significant damage and repair work. Length 5.9cms.

Condition Report
Overall condition fair. There are scratches and areas of tarnishing to the frame, brooch and pendant fittings. The coral is cracked and glued in two places. There is a significant crack to the coral cameo that has been glued back together, there is glue residue visible to the back panel, and a significant crack to the front. There are some scratches and areas of slight abrasion to the detail. There are some areas of dirt to the detail. The brooch fitting is secure. Coral untested for natural colour.
