Lot Description
An Edwardian 18ct gold sapphire and diamond ring. The graduated circular-shape sapphires, with single-cut diamond and diamond point double spacers, to the ridged shoulders and plain band. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1901. Weight 2.6gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition good. Minor surface wear in keeping with age. Evidence of resizing. Possible replacement diamonds and sapphires. One diamond is a replacement single-cut, at an angle within its setting, with glue residue. Sapphires differ slightly in hue, blue with fair to moderate colour saturation. Fairly good clarity with typical inclusions. Sapphires in good condition with some abrasion and nibbles. Diamonds heavily included, inclusions easily visible to the unaided eye, with a whitish appearance. Estimated total diamond weight 0.03ct. Individual size prevents accurate colour/clarity assessment.
