Lot Description

An early 20th century 15ct gold pearl and split pearl bee brooch. The split pearl head and baroque pearl body, to the engraved wings and textured limbs. Pearls untested for natural origin. Length 3.5cms. Weight 3.1gms.

The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches in keeping with general wear. Significant discolouration. Stamped 15ct. Split pearl has drill hole through centre, with discolouration and wear to either end. One wing possibly re-attached. Pearls vary greatly in shape, size, colour and lustre, the central pearl appearing a light yellowy brown. Glue visible to edges of all pearls.
