A late 19th century 15ct gold painted animal portrait brooch. The circular-shape panel painted to depict a white-haired dog, within a rope-twist surround, to the plain bar. Length 4.3cms. Weight 4.5gms.

Overall condition good to fair. There are scratches to the brooch in keeping with overall wear. There is significant abrasion to the edging of the glass cover. The painting is in good condition. Stamped 15ct. The back pin and catch is secure.
