Two early 20th century cased pipes, the first calabash with sterling silver mounts, the rim marked STERLING SILVER, the collar hallmarked Birmingham 1912, WHN (for William Henry Newman), 5.5" (14cm) long, the second meerschaum modelled as a hand holding an amber-coloured chalice, 4" (10cm) long (AF), each in fitted case, the first with label for 'W. H. Newman Ltd Pipe Makers'.

Condition Report
1. Silver mounts tarnished and dented, mouth piece worn and scratched and general wear. 2. Mouth piece detatched but present, screw broken so unable to screw back together, scratches, marks and dirt to modelled hand. Both cases badly worn and peeling leather, one hinge broken.
