Lot Description
A Doulton Lambeth pate-sur-pate vase by Mark Marshall. Of two-handled form with flared neck and ovoid body, the former with foliate scrollwork medallions, the latter with a kidney-shaped panel of crane-like birds, and a heart-shaped panel of foliate scrollwork, all reserved on an unusual chequered kingfisher blue and beige ground between scroll handles on domed foot, various marks including incised initials MVM to base, 9.8", (25cm) high.

Condition Report
Some unusual sort fine cracks to body - these appear to be part of the production process where the chequered body decoration was applied and fissures occurred in the kiln. The vase has quite a 'sticky' finish overall but does not appear to have restoration.
