An oval portrait of a young girl, bust length facing to dexter in three-quarter profile, on mahogany panel stamped 'Brown 163 HIGH HOLBORN', inscribed 'Painted by C.R. Leslie 1849', remains of framer's label "...Carver and Gilder No.31 Conduit Street, one door from Bond Street. Pictures clean'd & Re-...ord in Town or Country", in oval slip with plaque C.R. Leslie R.A., 7.5" x 6.25" (19cm x 16cm), and (depleted) swept gilt frame under glass.
