Lot Description
A mid 19th century French brass, ormolu and blue glass mantle clock. The 3 inch convex white dial with blue Roman hours and black Arabic minutes, the two-train movement striking on a bell, oval stamp "WORMS Aine R.LAFFITTE PARIS", numbered 4946, the break-arched case with urn surmount and finials over ribbon cresting and beaded bezel between fluted canted corners headed by goat's head capitals, in turn between urns on a breakfront base, with central pierced scroll frieze on toupir feet, the whole with blue glass panels, 14" (35.5cm) high.
