A 19th century black lacquered and papier mache snap top table, the rectangular tray top with scalloped edge, hand painted to the centre with a panel depicting buildings upon the bank of a river, inset with abalone shell details, titled 'Het Kralinger Veer' ('The Kralinger Spring'), signed L. J. Noogen, Rotterdam, on slender baluster column and triform base, top 24" x 30.5" (61cm x 77.5cm).

Some losses to abolone, some paint losses to image with crazing (area to sky retouched) gildings worn, with losses, some areas repainted. Splits to moulding around edge of top. Indentations and blemishes in wood, futher deep scratches, losses to paint and surface marks.
