A good pair of early 20th century 'Globe Wernicke' style inlaid mahogany stacking bookcases. Each section having a part of glazed doors with satinwood crossbanding, ebony and boxwood stringing, brass oval escutcheon and loop drop handles, one bookcase with five shallow sections, the uppermost with projecting cornice, above a sixth deeper projecting section on plinth base, 79.25" (201cm) high, the second bookcase of matching design but four shallow sections upon a projecting fifth, 69.5", (176.5cm) high, with labels of 'Millar & Beatty Ltd, Crafton St, Dublin'
