Lot Description

An early 20th century 9ct gold freshwater pearl brooch. The asymmetric freshwater pearl, suspended from a double pin surmount, to the connecting trace-link chain. Pearl untested. Hallmarks for Glasgow, 1903. Length 3.6cms. Weight 3.1gms.

Overall condition good. Some surface wear, light nicks and scratches in keeping with age. Pitting to some of the trace-link chain links, evidence of repair. Pearl untested. Creamy white, with some areas of orangish-brown discolouration. Unevenly shaped. Fairly good skin with an uneven surface pattern.
