A Burma ruby and diamond ring. Designed as a circular-shape Burma ruby, weighting 1.77cts, within an old-cut surround and brilliant-cut diamond, to the similarly-cut diamond sides. Accompanied by report number 09333, from The Gem&Pearl Laboratory, dated 28th January 2014, stating that the ruby is of Burmese origin with no evidence of heat treatment. Principal diamond estimated weight approximately 2.30-2.40cts, colour J-K, clarity P2-P3. Weight 11.5gms.

Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general wear. The ruby is a slightly cloudy pinkish-red showing typical inclusions, with abrasion and blemishes. Estimated total diamond weight of smaller diamonds 0.60ct, The diamonds are bright, lively and fairly well matched. Light nicks and chips can be seen to some. Light and dark inclusions can be seen with the naked eye. Fine feathers can be seen under magnification. Individual size and setting prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. Stamped 750.
