An early 20th century 15ct gold diamond and ruby bar brooch. The alternating graduated old-cut diamond and circular-shape ruby line, to the knife-edge bar. Estimated total diamond weight 0.40ct, I-J colour, SI clarity. Length 5cms. Weight 3.7gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches in keeping with general age and wear. Deeper scratches on one edge of the bar with surrounding discolouration. Other small areas of discolouration. The diamonds are bright with small inclusions visible with magnification. Colour graded within the limitations of the mount, potentially higher. The rubies are a medium red hue with abrasion to the facet edges. Typical inclusions and chips present. One ruby has a significant surface reaching fracture. Security clasp deficient.
