Lot Description
An early Victorian hardstone and quartz swivel fob, for the Rev William Trevenen, circa 1850. The principal bloodstone seal, depicting a shield with arms for the Trevenen and Hill family, to the standing stag and motto 'In Se Teres', with scrolling surmount and pedestal. Length 4.5cms.

Condition Report
Overall condition good. Minor surface wear in keeping with general wear and age. Light nibbles and scratches to seals. The shield is divided vertically in two, with arms for Trevenen on the left and Hill on the right. The seal was made for the Rev William Trevenen after his marraigwe to Anne Hill. Motto to principal seal translates to 'Rounded in himself'. Second seal to reverse of fob depicts three initials T?T. Weight 25.2gms.
