Lot Description

An open face pair case pocket watch. Hallmarked possibly London 1836. Unsigned key wind full plate fusee and chain movement with verge escapement and pierced balance cock. White enamel dial with Roman numeral hour markers. Silver case, inner case engraved Joseph Dixon. Outer case 58mm.

<li>Movement shows signs of previous intervention, balance has excessive play, rotates but possibly broken.

<li>Dial has marks and a hairline crack running from the centre to twelve.

<li>Hands have scratches and marks, minute hand is broken.

<li>Glass is covered with a multitude of scratches.

<li>Case has medium scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with general wear, possible repair to pendant.

<li>Outer case has medium scratches, marks and tarnishing commensurate with general wear, some dints.

<li>Pendant bow is loose.<p>
