Lot Description
An open face pocket watch by H.J Norris. Hallmarked London 1885. Signed full plate going barrel movement with ratchet tooth lever escapement. White enamel dial with Roman numeral hour markers, subsidiary seconds dial to six. Silver case. 50mm. Together with a white metal open face pocket watch.

<li>Movement is not currently functioning.
<li>Balance appears in good condition but it does show scratches and tarnishes visible under close inspection.
<li>Dial appears in good condition though it does show some discolouration due to its age.
<li>Hands appear to show signs of ageing including rust and some minor tarnishes in the form of scratches.
<li>Glass shows some light wear commensurate with general use including a few light scratches visible to the naked eye.
<li>Case shows medium wear with several scratches visible to the naked eye. There is substantial discolouration round by the dial of the watch. There are a few dents visible under close inspection.
<li>Case back shows light wear commensurate with general use including slight discolouration on the back and a few light scratches visible to the naked eye. Hinges appear in good condition however with a few light marks visible to the naked eye.
<li>Pendant bow shows medium wear commensurate with general use including significant discolouration and a few light scratches visible to the naked eye.<p>

<li>Balance condition is good, there is slight play that may suggest a broken pivot. There are slight scratches and tarnishes commensurate with general use visible under close inspection.
<li>Dial appears to be in good condition.
<li>Hands appear in good condition with no marks visible to the naked eye.
<li>Glass shows light wear commensurate with general use including visible scratches and tarnishes to the naked eye.
<li>Case appears in good condition. Under close inspection there are clear scratches around the watch and the discolouration is what would be expected from general use.
<li>Case back shows medium wear commensurate with general use. There is significant discolouration on the inner face and slight discolouration on the outer face. Upon close inspection there are a few scratches visible on the back.
<li>Pendant bow shows significant discolouration from general use all around it Upon close inspection a few, minor scratches are visible.<p>
