An early 20th century gold opal and diamond bar brooch. The old-cut diamond, within a circular opal cabochon and old-cut diamond scalloped double surround, to the similarly-cut diamond sides and knife-edge bar. Estimated total diamond weight 0.35ct. Length 4.7cms. Weight 4.6gms.

Condition Report
The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches in keeping with general wear. Jeweller-type number engraved to back "1700". The diamonds appear bright and well matched. Individual diamonds too small to accurately assess colour/clarity grades. Two diamonds with small chips. General small, scattered inclusions. The opals are well matched with varied play of colour. Minor abrasion.
