Lot Description
An 18ct gold jade and diamond brooch. Of circular-shape outline, the jadeite cabochon, within an openwork brilliant-cut diamond brooch. Maker's mark for Cropp&Farr. Estimated total diamond weight 0.90ct. Hallmarks for London, 1963. Diameter 2.7cms. Weight 10.9gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general wear. The diamonds are bright, lively and well matched. Light nicks and chips can be seen to some. Fine feathers can be seen under magnification. Individual size and setting prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. The jadetie is a mottled green to whitish green, with points of darker colour concentration, there are minor scuffs and scratches to the surface. Jade untested for natural colour origin. The US prohibits the importation of items containing rubies or jadeite originating in Burma.
