A good early 19th century Brampton-style stoneware toby jug, the seated figure with tricorn hat, holding a scale moulded jug of foaming ale, on a canted base, 7.5" (19cm) high, and a treacle glazed figural bottle, moulded with a portly figure seated astride a barrel impressed '2', (S/D). (2).

1. Original flaw- handle of ale jug is slightly away from body of flagon. Small crack beside this gap. Further old cracking to underside, not noticable when displayed. 2. Two rim losses. Two small foot chips.
