A good George III enamel on brass bodkin or needle case, probably South Staffordshire/West Midlands, c.1770, of cylindrical form, the push-on cover and body both decorated with floral sprays and gilt rococo scrolls on a white ground, 4.6", (11.7cm) long.

Small losses beneath rim of body but overall much better thank most of this type with no crazing, very minor wear/dirt, and a small flake loss to cover, another to body, minor hair crack.
