Lot Description

Three 19th century needlework samplers, the first by 'Mary Ann Lidgett Aged 10 years 1817', worked with Adam & Eve flanking the Tree of Knowledge with coiled serpent, flanked by houses, animals, peacocks and other birds, beneath a verse, double-fronted brick house with a fence, angels holding initials MAL, etc., 16.25" x 12.25" (41cm x 31cm), the second by 'Mary Ann Dowding Aged 11 years 1831', the third 'E. Whisson Aged 8 years 1838'. (3).
