An early 20th century inlaid mahogany 'balloon' mantel clock, Duverdrey & Bloquel, Paris, retailed by Brierley Wood & Co., Glasgow, the 3.5-inch white convex dial with Roman hours and Arabic minuets, inscribed 'BRIERLEY WOOD & CO. GLASGOW/MADE IN PARIS', with Breguet hands, the single train timepiece movement with vertically mounted lever platform escapement, lion stamp and oval stamp 'MADE IN FRANCE', housed in a slender boxwood strung case, 10.25" (26cm) high.
