A good mid 19th century engraved gorge cased repeater carriage clock with alarum Honore Pons, Paris, retailed by Penlington & Hutton, Liverpool, the recessed circular white Roman dial with shaded chapter ring, inscribed 'PENLINGTON & HUTTON LIVERPOOL' over conforming Arabic alarm dial, all within fine foliate engraving, the two-train movement striking in a bell with silvered lever platform escapement, stamped JS No. 175, and with slow/fast engraving, over engraved instructions to backplate, numbered 475 and 4070, with exhibition stamp (rubbed), in an engraved gorge case, 4.75" (12cm) high excluding handle.
