A good early 20th century inlaid Arts & Crafts writing cabinet on stand, Shapland & Petter, Barnstaple, the moulded rectangular top over a pair of chequer-strung fielded panelled doors, enclosing drawers and pigeonholes around a central 'dog kennel', the door interiors finely inlaid with honesty flowers, the lower stage with writing slide over cheque-strung frieze drawer with lockplate stamped 'S&PB', foliate scroll escutcheon and bale handle supports, plain stretchers and quadrant footrests, 27" x 16" x 50" high, (68.5cm x 40.5cm x 127cm).
