Condition Report
Overall condition good to fair. Minor surface scratches in keeping with general wear. Small areas of discolouration. Hinged loop deficient on bottom of brooch. Possible replacement fittings. Evidence of repair work and soft solder. Principal diamonds assessed within the limits of the mount. Due to the settings and nature of the rose-cut it is not possible to calculate a total weight of the smaller diamonds. Based on the surface spread alone of the diamonds, they appear to occupy the same surface space as diamonds with an estimated total weight of 0.35cts, however it is important to note that as it is not possible to gauge the depth of the stones, this estimated weight does not reflect the true weight of the diamonds in any way.
