An early 20th century 9ct gold opal and diamond bar brooch. The old-cut diamond and oval opal cabochon alternating collets, to the plain bar. Estimated total diamond weight 0.60ct. Length 6.3cms. Weight 2.7gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition good. Minor surface wear in keeping with age. Re-polished. Opals fairly well matched. Translucent with play-of-colour from red through to violet, varies slightly from opal to opal. Opals in fair to good condition with surface abrasion, one with a nick to the edge. Please see Important Notices for Purchasers in our catalogue for coloured gemstones. Diamonds bright and well matched. Individual size/setting prevents accurate colour/clarity assessment. One with a large dark coloured inclusion under the table, visible to the unaided eye. One with large and scattered light coloured inclusions. One with minor inclusions, but has a large nick to the crown surface. Two diamonds in good condition with minor abrasion, one in fair condition with a large nick.
