ASPREY - a 1970s 18ct gold sapphire, diamond and enamel novelty brooch. The green enamel toucan, with circular-shape sapphire and single-cut diamond eye detail, to the textured feathers. Maker's marks for Asprey&Co. Import marks for London, 1972. Length 3.5cms. Weight 15.9gms.

Condition Report
Overall condition good. Some surface wear in keeping with general wear. Some areas of significant wear and chips to the enamel. Area of possible repair to the enamel under the beak. Damage to the hinge fitting, one side broken. Scratches, light file marks and wear to the white metal surface of the double pin. Sapphire blue with green hues, fair colour saturation. Diamonds bright and well matched. Estimated total diamond weight 0.02ct. Individual size prevents accurate colour/clarity assessment. Minor inclusions visible under magnification.
