A mid 19th century gold emerald and split pearl cluster brooch. The rectangular-shape emerald, within a split pearl surround, to the plain reverse. Length 1.4cms. Weight 3gms.

Condition Report
The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches in keeping with general wear. The emerald is tight within its mount. The emerald and mount are loose within the split pearl surround and come out easily. Split pearls well matched with good lustre and minor discolouration. The emerald size and mount prevent accurate assessment of the gem, emerald is possibly synthetic, untested. Emerald appears a moderately vibrant, deep medium slightly bluish green hue. Very few inclusions. Small crack to the corner of the emerald. Minimal abrasion, two very small nicks.
