A late 19th century 18ct gold conch shell cameo brooch. Of oval-shape outline, carved to depict a bacchante, to the belcher-link chain surround. Length 5.8cms. Weight 35.4gms.

Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches and discolouration to surround in keeping with age and general wear. Conch shell cameo with a vertical crack running down one side and surface cracks to one arm. Possible replacement pin.
