A mid 19th century 18ct gold garnet brooch. Of openwork design, the oval garnet cabochon, to the engraved scrolling surround with stylised foliate terminals, suspending a similarly-designed drop with pear-shape garnet centre and bead accent. Length 9.2cms. Weight 18.8gms.
