Lot Description

A selection of early to mid 20th century jewellery. To include a 9ct gold Essex regiment brooch, a 9ct gold red-gem and mother-of-pearl stud set, together with a later split pearl bar brooch. Length of brooches 4.7 and 4.4cms. Total weight 7.8gms.

Condition Report

Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general wear and age. Essex regiment brooch stamped 9ct, enamel chipped and scuffed. Two studs stamped 9ct. The split pearl brooch stamped 14ct, with well matched split pearls. Without the aid of laboratory equipment, it has not been possible to determine if these cultured pearls are from a fresh or saltwater source.
