A mid 20th century diamond and synthetic ruby racing horse brooch. Of tri-colour design, the single-cut diamond galloping horse, with circular-shape synthetic ruby eye, to the similarly-designed jockey. Estimated total diamond weight 1.75cts. Length 3.6cms. Weight 7.7gms.

Overall condition good. Minor surface wear in keeping with age/general wear. Blue discolouration to the saddle. Possible replacement pin. One replacement brilliant-cut diamond. Gemstones well matched. Synthetic rubies pinkish-red, moderate colour saturation. Fairly good clarity with typical inclusions. Gemstones in fair to good condition with some abrasion and nicks.
