Lot Description
A hardstone cameo and split pearl sentimental brooch. The rectangular hardstone cameo, carved to depict a classical lady, within a split pearl border and openwork scroll surround, to the photo panel reverse. Length 5.3cms.

Condition Report
Overall condition fair to good. Minor surface wear and light scratches in keeping with general wear. One section of the openwork surround split, but not obvious. Tapered, textured panels at the top and base are replacements. Replacement catch. Possible replacement pin. Some of the claws are very slightly misshapen. One replacement split pearl, differs slightly in appearance. Cameo in good condition with minor abrasion. Glass panel in fairly good condition with some nibbles. Split pearls creamy colour, fairly good skins with some surface blemishes. Fairly good lustre. Please see Important Notices for Purchasers in our catalogue or on our website for coloured gemstones.
