Lot Description

A late 19th century split pearl and enamel brooch, circa 1890's. Of circular outline, the red enamel lattice and split pearl dome, within a stylised knot surround. Diameter 2.8cms. Weight 11.1gms.

Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general wear and age. Enamel possibly reconditioned, with some replacement split pearls. The enamel has small chips. The split pearls are fairly well matched with a white to slightly creamy-white, some with pink overtones, some with pink and green overtones, and fairly good to good lustre.
