Lot Description
A late 19th century continental 9ct gold and silver diamond and cultured pearl bar brooch. The old-cut diamonds, interspaced by replacement cultured pearls, to the old and rose-cut diamond foliate terminals. Estimated total diamond weight 0.80ct, J-K colour, SI2-P2 clarity. Length 4cms. Weight 4.6gms.

Condition Report
Overall good. Some surface wear and discolouration in keeping with age. Replacement brooch fitting, possibly adapted to a brooch from a larger item of jewellery. Cultured pearls are replacements. Some possible replacement diamonds. Cultured pearls fairly well matched, creamy colour, with rose and greenish overtones. Fairly good skins with some surface blemishes. Fairly good lustre. Diamonds fairly bright and well matched, drawing sight yellow hues. One principal diamond with large naturals to the table, the other with significant/large surface reaching inclusions, visible to the unaided eye. Outer diamonds with scattered to large inclusions, some visible to the unaided eye. Diamonds in fair to good condition with some significant nicks and nibbles.
