Lot Description
A late Victorian 15ct gold sapphire and diamond hinged bangle. The old-cut diamond and circular-shape sapphire sides, each within a lozenge-shape surround, to the cannetille half-bangle, with rope-twist sides. Personal inscription dated 1891. Inner diameter 5.7cms. Weight 7.7gms.

Condition Report
The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches in keeping with general wear. Small split to back of diamond mount with glue visible. Estimated diamond weight 0.04ct, the diamond is too small to accurately assess colour/clarity grades within the mount. Please see important notices for purchasers in the catalogue and on our website for Coloured Gemstones. The sapphires are a well matched medium blue hue. Due to the size and setting of the gems we are unable to determine if the sapphires are synthetic or natural. Possible replacement sapphires. Width of band 0.5cm. Inscription reads "Fannie from Charlie Xmas 1891."
