Lot Description

An open faced "Goliath" pocket watch. Numbered 1250670. Keyless wind fifteen jewel movement with club tooth lever escapement, signed Brevet. White enamel dial with black Arabic numeral hour markers, subsidiary seconds dial to six. Base metal case. 66mm.

<li> Keyless wind movement is currently functioning and keeping time.

<li> Movement appears show light scratches and tarnishing, balance wheel is intact.

<li> Screws to the movement show small scuffs and several chips around two in particular.

<li> Dial has several hairline cracks along the edge, one between the one ten and another between two and three. A large chip is present on the edge of the dial between seven and eight. There appears to be light discolouration underneath the centre of the hands. The makers mark appears to have rubbed away.

<li> Minute and hour hands are slightly scuffed and tarnished over the entire surface. The hour hand appears to bear a small chip.

<li> Second hand appears to show light rusting to the centre and is slightly bent.

<li> Glass has been replaced with plastic, which bears light scuffs and scratches.

<li> Crown appears to show light tarnishing but is generally in good condition.

<li> Case shows noticeable scratches and scuffs to the entire surface, majority appear superficial only and should polish out. Several small chips and dents are also present.

<li> Pendant bow appears to be slightly loose and is heavily tarnished.

<li> This watch does not come with a box or papers.
