A late 19th century 9ct gold shell cameo brooch. The shell, carved to depict a bacchante, to the plain mount. Length 4.8cms. Weight 15.1gms.

Condition Report
The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches in keeping with minimal wear. Stamped 9ct. The shell shows slight scratches, mostly to the reverse. The Bacchante has grapes and vines in their hair, with a lion pelt, possibly Bacchus.
