Lot Description
A mid 20th century natural pearl and diamond necklace. Designed as a necklace and drop of slightly graduated circular and rose-cut diamond openwork foliate panels, with natural pearl and natural blister pearl spacers and concealed clasp. Accompanied by report number 04697, dated 18th October 2011, from The Gem&Pearl Laboratory, stating that the pearls are natural blister pearls, saltwater. French assay marks. Length of drop 8.2cms. Length of necklace 38.4cms. Weight 33.3gms. With fitted case.

Condition Report
The lot is in good overall condition with light scratches in keeping with general wear. The diamonds appear bright and well matched. Individual diamonds too small to accurately assess colour/clarity grades. Estimated total diamond spread weight 1.80cts, which is no indication of the total diamond weight. Two diamonds with small chips. One rose-cut diamond deficient. French assay marks to clasp. The pearls are mostly well matched with uneven surface, a silvery white hue and good lustre. One appears slightly discoloured and dull. Principal pearl shows surface reaching inclusions to the reverse with slight discolouration.
