A mid 20th century diamond tiara. The graduated knife-edge bars, supporting old and rose-cut diamonds, with old-cut diamond foliate spacers and similarly-cut diamond line, converting to a necklace. Estimated total diamond weight 15 to 17cts, H-tinted colour, SI1-P1 clarity. Length 38.5cms. Weight as a necklace 59.4gms. With fitted case and tiara frame. Inner silk lining of case reading Diamond Merchants, Leighton 7-11, Burlington Arcade, Piccadilly.

Condition Report
Overall condition good. Surface scratches in keeping with general age and wear. Surface plating worn around the rivet joints to the articulated diamond line. The diamonds vary in cut, colour and clarity, to include rose-cut, pear, cushion and circular-shape old-cut diamonds. The diamonds appear bright and lively. The piece is detachable from the tiara frame and convertible into a necklace. The metal and material frame has slight areas of discolouration. The screw mechanism to secure the necklace to the frame is in working order. Necklace push-piece clasp appears secure. Necklace electronically tests as 9ct gold. The length of the necklace fringe section is approximately 20.2cms. The height of the gem section of the tiara is 2.8cms, with the height from the base of the fabric section to the top diamond being approximately 3.6cms.
