An early 20th century 12ct gold opal and diamond crescent brooch. The graduated oval opal cabochons, with old-cut diamond spacers, to the pierced gallery. Estimated total diamond weight 0.50ct. Length 3cms. Weight 5.4gms.

Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches and discolouration in keeping with general wear. Some opals are possible replacements. Abrasion to surface of most opals. Diamonds bright and well matched. Individual size/setting of diamonds prevents accurate and full colour/clarity assessment. All settings will need attention, in keeping with age.
