An 18ct gold carnelian intaglio ring. The oval carnelian intaglio, with engraved crest for the Lion family, circa 1770 to 1795, to the plain surround and band. Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1902. Weight 15.5gms.

Overall condition good. This shield, circa 1770 to 1795 is for the LION family. The arms were originally granted in 1554 to John Lion when he was Lord Mayor of London. Band is a later replacement.
