Lot Description
A pair of late nineteenth century silver import spill vases, each of pedestal vase form and decorated in Rococo style with floral motifs and foliate scrolls with twin opposed figurative panels depicting a seated lady reading a book and being serenaded by a gentleman playing a flute. Hallmarked Berthold Muller, London 1896, alongside the Foreign Mark. Height measures 4 1/4 inches (11 cm), weight 4.89 ozt (152 grams).

Condition Report
Both vases display general surface scratches, marks and wear commensurate with the age and use. Heavy tarnishing is visible and both would benefit from a clean and polish. Dints and bumps to both, especially around the neck rims. Heavier damage and tears to both feet. The hallmarks are clear and legible, slight rubbing to maker's mark but still legible.
